My Night at the VMA’s

This years VMA’s was truly amazing. From beginning to end, I was awed by every aspect of the night. I mean what did you expect? We’re representing BROOKLYN! BROOKLYN! Not only did I get to walk the red carpet with son which was an experience in itself, but to see the line up of performers was truly incredible. The show kicked off with the amazing Lady Gaga, followed by Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Kanye West, and who could ever forget the short lived NSync reunion! I was dancing in my seat when Drake came out singing his newest song “Just Hold On We’re Going Home.” Its my favorite off of his new album so far which is being released on September 24th.

I also got to spend time with my dear friend Yandy Smith from #LHHNY who was accompanied by the brilliant creator Ms. Mona Scott Young. It was a pleasure to meet the beautiful Ms. Tiffany from the Marrying Game and the crazy cast of the Jersey Shore. For me, one of the biggest moments of the night was when I got to meet my favorite men of comedy Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart, and Richard Simmons. It was also pretty amazing when Rihanna told my son she was proud of him, could she be a Mobwives fan? We love you RiRi!

Congratulations to every body who won an award, you are all truly amazing and I’m honored to have been able to experience such an event! I’m so proud to be part of the Viacomm family, my VH1 family rules! A special thank you to VH1 for inviting me and I hope to return next year!

Renee Graziano
Renee Graziano is the daughter of Anthony Graziano, who according to the Federal Government was a high ranking member of La Cosa Nostra. Renee grew up during the heyday of the mob -- when things still fell off trucks and people still dropped off envelopes even when it wasn't your birthday. Immersed in the culture since birth, she embraced the lifestyle as her own and became a "mob loyalist". Renee eventually married (then divorced) Junior. Together they have one son, AJ. When Renee was young her best friend was arrested and sentenced to many years behind bars. This was her first real introduction to prison, but unfortunately not her last. Thanks to a circle of friends living the street life, Renee has visited over 83 prisons and written hundreds of letters to comfort the many friends she had on "the inside." This correspondence gave her the idea to turn her love of the "the life" into a greeting card company called JAIL MAIL. Renee sometimes longs for the good old days, but thanks to her friends she is slowly starting to realize that this is not a life she wants her son to lead. She struggles to balance her allegiance to the street life with her hopes that her son will live a life free of it all. Renee is hysterical, Renee is crazy, and Renee is drama, but she will be the first to give you the shirt off her back. Everyone and anyone who knows her, knows this.
