Halloween is near and everyone is rushing to get their last minute costumes. I love getting dressed up for Halloween, it’s like an open invitation to try all the thrilling makeup and costumes we wouldn’t be caught in on any other night. I’ve been to the craziest parties and parades but one of the best places to be is New York on Halloween… everyone really lets their inner freak flag fly.
Fun Fact: I was dressed as Elvira circa 90′s. She was always one of my favorite, from her Goth attire and makeup down to her take-no-$#!t attitude.
A great Halloween costume comes down to the smallest details. I usually try to make my own ensemble without spending very much. I pull a few items I already have in my closet, combine them with a crazy makeup look, and voila! Instant Costume.
I’m pretty sure I have considered being a flapper at every halloween event in the past 5 years. It’s just such an easy costume that most people already have hanging around in their closet. This year with the Great Gatsby fad that has taken over, I decided a flapper costume would be perfect to show you all how to do! Find a dress that has fringe or even beaded detail on it, pair it with a pearl necklace and a small heel. Throw a few curls in your hair and pin it up with bobby pins. Secure the hair with a headband like shown. Your everyday makeup should work fine with this look… if you feel daring, give yourself a red lip! You’ll be channeling Daisy Buchanan in no time!
Fun Fact: AJ loved Scooby Doo as a kid. Look how cute… Take me back!
I’m pretty much obsessed with watching makeup tutorials on Youtube and I wanted to also show you all some of my favorites. Click the photo to see the video!
I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too! Witch is one of the most popular costumes during Halloween, and this tutorial is a must-see!
Tell me about your favorite halloween costume below! I’d love to hear what you guys came up with!
